We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience, preferably in the Indian BFSI industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure data architectures to support the organization's data-driven initiatives and business objectives, with experience in cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises (Cloudera/ CDP) environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Must Have:

1. Analyze and understand the organization's data landscape, including existing data sources, data flows, and data storage solutions in both cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises (Cloudera) environments.

2. Design and develop comprehensive data architectures that address the organization's current and future data requirements, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, application developers, and IT infrastructure teams, to align data architecture with the overall IT and business strategies.

4. Define data integration and transformation processes, ensuring efficient and reliable data flows between various systems and applications, both on-premises and in the cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).

5. Implement data governance and data quality management practices to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and reliability across the organization, irrespective of the data storage location (cloud or on-premises).

6. Assess and recommend appropriate data storage technologies, such as relational databases, data warehouses, and big data platforms (e.g., Cloudera), based on the organization's requirements, considering both cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises options.

Good to Have:

7. Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories to provide a comprehensive understanding of the organization's data assets, across cloud and on-premises environments.

8. Evaluate and select appropriate data management tools and technologies to support the data architecture, ensuring seamless integration and scalability across cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises (Cloudera) environments.

9. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the data engineering and analytics teams, contributing to the overall data management capabilities, with a focus on both cloud and on-premises data solutions.

10. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the data management domain, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the organization's data capabilities, including cloud-based (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises (Cloudera) solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in data architecture, with a strong focus on the Indian BFSI industry.

- Proficient in designing and implementing data architectures using a variety of data storage solutions, such as relational databases, data warehouses, and big data platforms (e.g., Cloudera), in both cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises environments.

- Extensive knowledge of data integration and transformation techniques, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes, with experience in both cloud-based (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises (Cloudera) approaches.

- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data quality management, and metadata management practices, and their application across cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises (Cloudera) environments.

- Hands-on experience with data modeling, database design, and performance optimization, considering the unique requirements of cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises (Cloudera) data architectures.

- Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance regulations in the BFSI industry, and the ability to apply these principles in both cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises (Cloudera) environments.

- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience in leading and mentoring data engineering and analytics teams, with a focus on cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises (Cloudera) data management capabilities.

- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in data management or architecture, with a focus on cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises (Cloudera) solutions, are preferred.
